An Industrial Validation of a Semantic-Mediation Architecture
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper presents an industrial validation of a semantic-mediation architecture that enables business-to-business (B2B), standards-based interoperability between heterogeneous legacy applications. The architecture was implemented using a state-of-the-art semantic-mediation toolset for design-time and run-time integration tasks. The design-time tools supported a domain ontology definition, message annotations, message schema transformations, and reconciliation rules specifications. The run-time tools performed exchanges, transformations, and reconciliations of the messages. The validation pilot was based on an automotive B2B integration scenario where heterogeneous business applications exchange supply-chain inventory information. Keywords; semantic-mediation architecture, business-to-business interoperability, ontologies, validation data Today, manufacturing organizations are challenged to accomplish timely and accurate information exchange among the inventory-management applications and across the supply-chain tiers. As a response to this challenge, the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) initiated the Inventory Visibility and Interoperability

A Context-aware Architecture for Mental Model Sharing through Semantic Movement in Intelligent Agents
Recent studies in multi-agent systems are paying increasingly more attention to the paradigm of designing intelligent agents with human inspired concepts. One of the main cognitive concepts driving the core of many recent approaches in multi agent systems is shared mental models. In this paper, we propose an architecture for sharing mental models based on a new concept called semantic movement....
متن کاملExamining the Effect of Increasing Gibson’s Semantic Levels on Non-profit School Students’ Environmental Satisfaction in Tehran’s District
The discussion of man and his alienation in contemporary environments has become an important challenge in environmental psychology studies. Gibson as a theorist in the field of environmental psychology studies, introduces the component of meaning and divides it into six levels, the sixth of which is the ultimate connection between man and the environment. From the audience’s point of view, wha...
متن کاملA Distributed Semantic Mediation Architecture
Traditional mediators are usually developed as monolithic systems which envelope the data source’s semantics as well as its location. Furthermore, their architecture based on wrappers involves a high degree of coupling among the mediators’ components. This coupling does not allow sharing services with other organizations or the dynamic integration of new data sources. Therefore, wrappers must b...
متن کاملAnalysis of Semantic Light Effects in the Architecture of Isfahan during Safavid Period; Case Study: Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque in Isfahan
Architecture is the product of different contexts؛ so, the way of dealing the builders of a building with the architectural elements, has different semantic and physical manifestations in different contexts, despite the similarity in general. As an example, the light in the Shia religion of Islam is a symbol of the divine essence and expression of existence and it has always been considered by ...
متن کاملIntelligent query processing for semantic mediation of information systems
osting by E Abstract We propose an intelligent and an efficient query processing approach for semantic mediation of information systems. We propose also a generic multi agent architecture that supports our approach. Our approach focuses on the exploitation of intelligent agents for query reformulation and the use of a new technology for the semantic representation. The algorithm is self-adapted...
